On July 1st, in the media communication meeting in 2024, automobile CEO Deng Chenghao announced the sales data from January to June (the first half of 2024), and the product planning of three heavy new cars, namely Deep Blue L07, Deep Blue S07 and Deep Blue S05, will be launched one after another in the second half of the year. At the same time, it also interprets the brand positioning, brand labeling, intelligent research and development, and sets a new development pattern goal of "deep bit" to build a new energy market.
The sales volume of Deep Blue Automobile in the first half of 2024 totaled 84,000 units, which will strengthen the brand label of young technology.
According to official news, from January to June, Changan Automobile sold 299,000 new energy vehicles of its own brand, up over 69% year-on-year. In June, the sales volume of new energy vehicles was 64,000, a year-on-year increase of over 61%. 72,968 vehicles were delivered in January-June, 83,858 vehicles were delivered in January-June and 29,030 vehicles were delivered in January-June.
Deng Chenghao, CEO of Deep Blue Auto, said: "In the first half of this year, the sales volume of Deep Blue Auto increased steadily, with a total of 84,000 vehicles, and the industry ranking rose by 4 places year-on-year. Among them, the sales volume in June was 16,659, up 107% year-on-year. I believe that the sales of Deep Blue will continue to rise in July and August, and the sales target for the fourth quarter will be set at 30,000 vehicles/month. "
At the brand level, Deng Chenghao believes that users have given Deep Blue a brand label of "youth and technology". Then, Deep Blue will continue to strengthen this label and upgrade it from brand visual image, store image, product image and styling design. In addition, Deng Chenghao added, "Deep Blue Automobile aims to become the first new energy automobile enterprise in state-owned enterprises to achieve double breakthroughs in scale and profitability, and to build a new development pattern of" deep blue in state-owned enterprises, private enterprises and foreign enterprises ".
Deng Chenghao’s confidence mainly comes from three models that will be listed in the second half of the year, namely Deep Blue L07, Deep Blue S07 and Deep Blue S05. At the communication meeting, Deng Chenghao once again emphasized the relationship between Deep Blue L07 and the different market positioning between the two cars, and then explained the real reason why it was renamed Deep Blue S07 after the change, and revealed some core information of Deep Blue S05.
Deep blue SL03 focuses on sports technology, and deep blue L07 focuses on intelligent technology. Two cars are sold in parallel and strive to break through 10,000 sales.
Deng Chenghao said: "Deep Blue L07 is not a modified model of Deep Blue SL03, but a brand-new model. The two cars are the same only in sheet metal (appearance), and other aspects have been completely replaced. Deep Blue L07 is a deep cooperation model between Deep Blue Automobile and Huawei, and it is equipped with Huawei’s intelligent driving system. It will be launched in September and sold in parallel with Deep Blue SL03. Among them, Deep Blue SL03 focuses on sports technology, and Deep Blue L07 focuses on intelligent technology. The monthly sales target of this car is to exceed 10,000 vehicles. "
According to the official official map and application information of Deep Blue L07 released before, Deep Blue L07 is a medium-sized car, and adopts the latest design style. The front face is equipped with a closed front grille+a slender LED headlight group, and the side of the car body has smooth body lines. The front curve and downward dive shape are obvious, and the hatchback design+large-size, multi-spoke and double-color wheels further enhance the dynamic atmosphere.
The length, width and height of the vehicle are 4875mm/1890mm/1480mm, and the wheelbase is 2900mm, which is a little longer than SL03, and other parameters are the same. The taillight shape is also simple and full of scientific sense, with a straight single line design in the middle, and the design elements on both sides have a strong future mechanical beauty. In terms of power, the maximum power of the pure electric motor is 185kW, and the extended-range hybrid motor is equipped with a 1.5L engine, and the peak power of the driving motor is 160kW.
Renamed as Deep Blue S07, it is only the global unified Deep Blue S05, which is a leading technology company at the same level, and will be exported to more than 70 countries.
Deng Chenghao also responded to the question of why Deep Blue S7 was directly renamed as "Deep Blue S07" after the change: "Because the models of Deep Blue are all global models, they will be sold in more than 70 countries one after another, so Deep Blue S7 was renamed as Deep Blue S07, mainly to unify the name of this model in the global market. When the dark blue S07 goes on the market, the original dark blue S7 will be cancelled, and the medium-sized SUV sold in the market will only keep the dark blue S07. "
It is understood that the dark blue S07 is indeed a modified version of the now-sold dark blue S7, and the shape of the whole vehicle is consistent with the current model. Whether it is a pure electric or extended-range hybrid model, the front face also adopts a closed grille design, and the slender headlight group enhances the aggression of the front face, while the design of large-size vents is still retained below.
The shape of the side of the car body and the size of the whole car are exactly the same as those of the dark blue S7, with the length, width and height of 4750mm/1930mm/1625mm and the wheelbase of 2900mm respectively. The rear of the car also continues the family-style design style, and adopts the through taillight design, and the taillights on both sides are very recognizable. Because the extended-range model adopts the hidden exhaust design, the tail shapes of the two power forms are exactly the same. It is worth mentioning that the right sign at the rear of the vehicle was adjusted to S07.
In terms of power, Deep Blue S07 still provides two forms of power: pure electricity and extended range. According to the previous application information, the pure electric version is equipped with a single motor with a maximum power of 160kW. The range extender of the extended-range version is a 1.5L naturally aspirated engine with a maximum power of 70kW. It is expected that the pure electric cruising range and comprehensive mileage will be upgraded.
Deng Chenghao also said: "The Deep Blue S05, which will be launched later, is a young man’s first SUV. The market is positioned as a coupe-style compact SUV, and it will provide two forms of power, namely extended range and pure electricity, especially in the configuration of intelligent technology, which is fully ahead of its peers. The monthly sales target after listing in the future is 15,000 vehicles."
According to the previous application information, Deep Blue S05 adopts a brand-new design with a more sporty style. The front closed grille with long and narrow headlights is simple in shape, and the lower lines outline the decorative elements of the fighter wing. The car side is mainly designed by the profile, and the lower part is equipped with a more generous fender. The window part adopts a low-lying design to further create a sporty atmosphere. The length, width and height of the vehicle are 4620mm/1900mm/1600mm respectively, and the wheelbase is 2880mm.
The shape of the rear of the car is quite three-dimensional, with a penetrating LED taillight group, a panoramic canopy, a traditional sheet metal roof and a luggage rack roof. At the same time, aluminum alloy wheels with different shapes will be used to highlight the differences in vehicle configuration. In terms of power, Deep Blue S05 will be equipped with XTDM40 drive motor produced by Deep Blue Automotive Technology Co., Ltd., with a maximum power of 175kW, and will be equipped with lithium iron phosphate batteries.
